Q: When do you cook my meals?
A: We receive a delivery of fresh produce every morning from our local suppliers. Once we receive your order, our expert team of chefs will cook your order and dispatch it within 24 hours. This ensures your meals arrive in the freshest way possible.
Q: How are my meals delivered?
A: All meals are delivered in specially designed thermo cool packaging & boxes.
Q: What happens if I’m not there to receive my delivery?
A: If you are not there to receive your delivery, the package will be returned to the nearest delivery depot, where you will have to organise collection. This may present an issue depending on the opening hours of your depot, as it may happen that you are unable to pick up your order within the refrigeration capabilities of the packaging. This is a circumstance that is out of our control, and a refund will not be offered if food is spoiled. We STRONGLY advise that if you are not going to be available to pick up the order, that you have it delivered to your place of work, or to an alternative address where delivery is guaranteed. If you issue the incorrect address we will not refund the payment or re cook the food. If we are notified we will do everything we can to redirect the parcel or have it returned but it is down to the customer to ensure they put the correct address for shipping on their order.
Q: Do you use any preservatives or special equipment to keep my meals fresh?
A: No! Here at Fitness Food HQ, we decided we wanted to source fresh, deliver fresh & keep products natural.
Q: When is the cut off times for meal deliveries?
A: Please follow the below table:
- For Tuesday Delivery – Please Order by 6am Monday
- For Wednesday Delivery – Please Order by 6am Tuesday
- For Thursday Delivery – Please Order by 6am Wednesday
- For Friday Delivery – Please Order by 6am Thursday
- Any Order placed after 6am Thursday for Nationwide delivery will be cooked & shipped Monday for Tuesday delivery.
Local orders: Orders placed before 6am Monday to Thursday will be delivered the same day (15km radius of Fitness Food HQ).
Orders For Collection: Orders placed before 6am can be collected the same day in store between 4.45pm – 6.00pm Monday to Thursday. Orders placed after 6am can collect from store 4.45pm – 6.00pm the following day.
Q: How can you offer delivery on my meals so quickly when all other meal companies offer delivery the following week?
A: Fitness Food HQ is committed to becoming a leader in the health, fitness & wellness market in Ireland. We have dedicated ourselves to giving customers what they want, when they want. Customers expect healthy products delivered to them on demand – after all, who says “I’ll eat healthy next week”? Working to strict kitchen and supplier deadlines allows us to turn around orders quickly, and ship on same day once order is placed before 6am.
Q: How are my meals packaged?
A: We package your meals in a microwave friendly tray with a plastic seal. All snack pots are packaged in a tamper proof container.
Q: I want to order a meal plan but I don’t like some of the dishes?
A: Check out our mix & match deals, where you can choose exactly what dishes you want. Alternatively, in our order notes section you can mention “please leave out the chicken curry etc”.
Q: Do my meals arrive fresh or frozen?
A: All meals arrive fresh.
Q: How long will my meals last?
A: As your meals are created fresh and un-preserved, they will last for day of delivery + one day. We recommend freezing the final days of your meal plan on delivery to ensure they are fresh on the day of consumption – you can defrost these meals 24 hours prior to consuming.
Q: How do I reheat my meals?
A: Remove tray film before placing in the microwave. Heat at 800w for at least 4 to 5 minutes, leave stand for 1 minute, and ensure food is piping hot before eating – don’t heat the salads!! Microwaves differ in power outputs so please be aware of this. Ensure tray does not touch the sides of the microwave oven itself.
Q: Can I amend an order once it has been placed?
A: No, as we work to strict deadlines for our suppliers and kitchen we are unable to change any orders, so please cross check your order before confirming.
Q: Can you offer a totally vegetarian meal plan?
A: Yes, please view our vegetarian/vegan menu for this option. You receive one of each option and then 4 more from the selected menu.
Q: I am following an exact diet from my trainer – can you cook to my exact requirements?
A: Absolutely! Please use the form here.
Q: Do you have an affiliate program?

Q: What if my delivery is damaged when I arrive?
A: In the unlikely event that a package is damaged upon delivery, we advise you to eat this meal first.
Q: Can you deliver to my work place?
A: Yes, we can deliver to any address you specify nationwide.
Q: Can my delivery be staggered as I haven’t enough room in my fridge?
A: Yes, this option is available on orders of 20 meals or more. Please contact us if you require this option – an extra charge will be applied.
